The choir is fifty-strong with many teachers but with members from all walks of life and we are always keen to hear from anyone who is interested in joining.

The choir explores the whole repertoire of unaccompanied choral music for mixed voices of all periods and styles, sacred and secular, serious and light, and has given over 20 premier performances. The choir has a distinguished record of prizes in international choral competitions, has made a series of CDs, broadcasts regularly, and has toured 14 countries.

The choir gives a concert about every three or four weeks during school term times. Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7.45 to 9.55, and on Thursdays prior to engagements.

You may be surprised that there is no initial audition, but we have a careful and painless process of introducing new members. Sight-reading is obviously helpful, but it is less important than bringing a commitment to work to the highest standard that an amateur choral group can manage.

If you are interested in joining the choir, send us an email including your contact details and we will get in touch. Alternatively, you can send us a message here.
