Musical Director - Norman Morris
Norman Morris founded the Reading Phoenix Choir in 1969 to provide an opportunity for singers leaving higher education to reach the highest standards of choral singing.
As Musical Director he continues to inspire the choir and achieve success in national and international competitions.
He believes that commitment, hard work and the sheer joy of singing are the hallmarks of success. His enthusiasm is contagious and his humour keeps the choir entertained!
Norman is an educationalist by profession and was Director of the B.Ed. degree course at Bulmershe College, now incorporated into Reading University. As a musician he was first a pianist and accompanist, but it is as choral conductor that he has received increasing recognition. He was a member of the Council and Executive of the Association of British Choral Directors for several years.
A number of Norman's arrangements are published by Pavane Publishing, and distributed by Hal Leonard.
